Amelia Brandt, CPCS, prefers to be called Amy, worked in the state government, which included working for State Senator John J. Shumaker and Lt. Governor Mark S. Schweiker, and private sector for 26 years before starting a trek into the field of health care. Amy worked for over 11 years in the credentialing office at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center performing primary source verifications for new physicians and advanced practice clinicians and then moved to the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Allergy where for over 3 years she performed a multitude of administrative duties, spoke with and scheduled patients, and was the coordinator of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program which is governed by the ACGME.
Prior to joining Zetter HealthCare, Amy was employed by Drayer Physical Therapy Institute in the Credentialing Office where she performed payer enrollment for therapists located in Indiana, Kentucky, and New Jersey (previously for Tennessee) and assisted her co-workers with their states. In addition to payer enrollment, Amy maintained the CAQH profiles, performed Medicare revalidations, license verifications for over 700 therapists, and abided by the NCQA guidelines.
Amy obtained her Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification by passing an exam in December of 2009 and has maintained this certification ever since. She is currently a member of NAMSS, PAMSS, SCCPAMSS, NAPW, ASAP and CMN Fashion Show Committee.
